Tumor

Tumor markers are molecules present in blood or tissue which are specifically correlated to cancer development. Measurement or identification of such molecules is useful in patient diagnosis or clinical management. Besides antibodies to routine markers, antibodies to interesting new markers are also offered. Elafin/SKALP is of interest in studying differentiation in squamous cell carcinoma of the head-and-neck region, esophagus and skin. Liver-FABP (L-FABP) as a possible tumor marker for hepatic cell malignancies and colorectal and hepatic carcinomas. Plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) is a useful tumor marker for carcinomas like gastric, breast and cervical cancer. Of special interest are antibodies against DNA adducts (ethenoadenosine, BPDE-DNA), Aurora A kinase, RNAse L and VG5Q.
